Welcome to Smart Nation Expo 2025

It is my utmost pleasure to extend a warm welcome to all trade attendees, exhibitors, speakers and delegates to MITEC, Kuala Lumpur, for SMART NATION EXPO 2025- the region's largest technology event focusing on 5G services, Smart Cities, Industry 4.0, and Emerging Technologies, to be held from 18-20 November 2025. The theme of this year's event, "Driving Digitalisation Towards a Smart Economy," is both timely and significant. It serves as an important platform for industry leaders, stakeholders, and solution providers to engage and share insights on how we can leverage digital advancements to shape a smarter future.

As part of Malaysia's ongoing commitment to enhancing infrastructure, the 2025 Budget has allocated over RM9.3 billion to the Ministry of Works for upgrading and maintaining critical public infrastructure. This significant investment will support the development of federal and secondary roads, as well as other key infrastructure projects that are essential for improving connectivity and driving economic growth. Furthermore, the budget places a strong emphasis on empowering local contractors, particularly Bumiputera G1 to G4 contractors, with increased opportunities to contribute to smaller, community-driven projects.

In line with this vision, we uphold a mission to provide a high-quality education system that nurtures individuals to reach their fullest potential, fulfilling both personal aspirations and national goals. The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security is leading the transformation of the agricultural sector, systematically and comprehensively, through the integration of innovative technologies. This transformation is in alignment with the goals of the National Agrofood Policy 2021-2030 (NAP 2.0) which aims to create a sustainable, modern and competitive agricultural landscape for Malaysia.
